LongGame

Active

A life-aware productivity system

LongGame is a time and project management app built around a single uncomfortable truth — your time is finite. It shows you exactly how much life you have left, then helps you decide what to spend it on. Track projects, log deep-work sessions, review your week, and confront whether you're actually doing the things that matter.

What It Does

Life Countdown

A real-time countdown of your remaining life based on your birth date and life expectancy. Years, days, hours, minutes, seconds — always ticking.

Project Tracking

Declare the things worth spending your life on. Set time commitments (e.g. 3h/day for 0.5 years) and track progress against them.

Session Timer

Start a deep-work timer for any project. Sessions are logged automatically with timestamps and durations.

Daily Balance

See how much time your projects require today, how much is available, and how much you've actually logged — at a glance.

Weekly Reports

Review total hours, sentiment breakdown (building vs. neutral vs. draining), and per-project progress bars.

Seasonal Perspective

Switch between "autumns left", "summers left", "Mondays left" — different lenses to feel the weight of finite time.

The Idea

Most productivity apps assume you have infinite time and just need better habits. LongGame starts from the opposite end — you are going to die, and probably sooner than you think. That's not morbid, it's clarifying. When you can see that you have 37 autumns left, the question "what should I work on today?" stops being abstract. The app pairs this existential awareness with practical tooling: timers, session logs, weekly reviews, and project commitments. It's not about squeezing more out of every hour — it's about making sure the hours go to the right things.

How It Works

You set your birth date and a target life expectancy. The app calculates your remaining time and displays it as a live countdown — years, days, hours, right down to the second. From there, you create projects: the things you've decided are worth your time. Each project gets a time commitment (like 3 hours a day for 6 months), and the app tracks your sessions against that commitment. The daily view shows your time balance — how much your projects need, how much the day has left, and what you've logged. The weekly report aggregates everything into total hours, sentiment analysis, and per-project progress. Everything is stored locally on-device using Hive for speed and privacy.
